OenoPass Champagne
Royal Crystal glassworks of Champagne and Crystal Museum
Crystal glassworks crafted entirely by hand...

> Bayel has been a glassmaking centre since 1300, under the reign of Philippe le Bel. In 1678 Jean-Baptiste Mazzolay, a venetian glassmaker, created the Royal Manufacturers of Bayel crystal. This became the Royal Crystal glassworks of Champagne, where the factory has handed down the richest and most refined “know how”, going back to the 17th century, to its master glassmakers. Bayel is one of the last handmade crystal factories in Europe. Come and admire its prestigious crafts during a guided tour.

> The Crystal Museum next to the factory is also not to be missed. Here you will discover the composition of crystal, how it is made, pieces from the collection on display and a video showing the manufacturing processes with warm glass (production) and cold glass (post-production) in the workshop.

Guided visit of the Royal Crystal glassworks of Champagne and visit to the Crystal Museum to discover the secrets behind crystal making.
The « EPERNAY » flute

This champagne flute is characterised by its hollow stem, making it unique in comparison to other flutes. As the champagne is poured into the glass you will see it go right down to the foot of the flute. A great success with champagne connoisseurs, the Epernay flute gives an even better taste and appreciation of this precious nectar.
